For many students the use of words increases the difficulty and contributes to math anxiety. This program will help students become confident word problem solvers by modelling seven strategies to approach math word problems in a step by step, organized way.

Social-emotional learning (SEL) focuses on the development of skills such as self-awareness, self-regulation, empathy, and social skills. At Social U! we teach children how to interact appropriately with others their age. Our therapeutic intervention will help students learn conversational, friendship and problem-solving skills. Through socialization, play, communication (verbal/non-verbal) students will learn how to develop friendships, control their emotions, and understand other people’s perspectives.

Designed by an occupational therapist, to promote handwriting success, this program will help students build essential skills for emergent writing and handwriting success. Utilizing a multisensory approach, the program incorporates a specific method of teaching children to write their letters using a developmental teaching order for both tracing and copying letters. This interactive, hands-on approach engages the children and makes learning to write fun and successfully. Small group led by licensed Occupational Therapist.
