We are a “Reggio” inspired program! In our toddler classroom, children develop their independence through fun learning experiences that promote independence, self-confidence and self-control. Our beloved and caring teachers guide toddlers through playful exploration while helping to establish crucial social-emotional skills.

A special 2s Program for our youngest learners to develop a love of learning, develop a sense of independence and safety in separation. We’ll provide a safe, stimulating and loving classroom setting where we will work on independence – especially self-help and self-care. Each day we present a series of activities that will strengthen each child’s foundations skills including social, play and self- foundational skills include self-regulatory skills, Children are encouraged to explore their classroom environment with a variety of materials including clay, paint, play dough, sand and water.

Designed to address developing skills in Language Arts/Reading Readiness, Mathematics, Science, Creative Arts, Physical Activity, Construction, Music and Socialization. Each session is structured to include free play, circle time, snack time and play. Children are encouraged to actively construct their ideas. During circle time, teachers engage students in activities that further their speaking and listening skill incorporating singing, rhymes, stories, games and much more. Snack time encourages independence by engaging in everyday activities like hand washing, setting the table, pouring their own drink.

Rye Reads Learning Center offers a 4s PreK Program to compliment and extend any half-day PreK school day. Our unique program offers the smallest group size and teacher: student ratio to be found. We address developing skills in Language Arts/Reading Readiness, Mathematics, Science, Creative Arts, Physical Activity, Construction, Music and Socialization. Each session is structured to include free play, circle time, snack time and play.

EARLY DROP-OFF
Early drop-off is provided as a service to our parents needing to start their day early. Children are engaged in supervised play from 8:15 am to 9:00 am and then are escorted to their regular classrooms.

Rye Reads Learning Center offers camps that are fun and educational. Children learn through play as they strengthen their life skills in an interactive, supervised environment.
Summer is a great time to expand your child’s knowledge of familiar topics or explore new ones! Each week of our Summer Camp focuses on a different theme to keep our campers engaged and happy to return!
Summer Camp groups are organized by age – toddlers, 2s, 3/4 or aged 5/6. Summer Camp is located at our two downtown Rye locations 30 Elm Place and 43 Theodore Fremd.

Fairytales - Learn about fairy tales. Through read alouds, crafts, snack and surprise visits, we'll spend time with the likes of Little Red Riding Hood, Jack in the Beanstalk, Princess and the Pea, Beauty and the Beast.

Movin’ and Grovin: Can you the twists? Learn a new dance move every day and show off your moves at our week end disco party!

Community Helpers: We welcome a different Rye community helper every day! Our campers will get to meet our local firemen. police officers, librarians, pizza maker, postal workers DPW workers, and many more. It’s the people in our community they will meet as you walk through town!
Week Five: July 10 - 14
Author Visits
Every day we will celebrate a beloved children's author - a different read aloud, related craft, snack, visits from book characters. It's a fun week designed to encourage your child's love of books! And of course, lots of activities, including special art keepsakes. We’ll welcome Rye authors to come share a read aloud!
Week Six: July 17 - 21
Mad Scientist: Let’s explore the world around as we conduct a different hands on science experiment every day.
Week Seven: July 24 -28
Pets and Animals: Interactive animal visits! A petting zoo with rabbits, turtles, pigs, ducks, chickens, and a bearded dragon are among the adorable animals we will be welcoming to our class for a hands-on interactive experience!
Week Eight: July 31 – August 4
Under the Sea
What lives under the sea? How does a mermaid spend her day? Who are her friends. Are sharks really scary? Does an octopus need all its tentacles? Come this week and let’s find out.
Week Nine: August 7 - 11
Carnival Week: A true carnival experience – from cotton candy to face painting! A true crowd favorite!
Week Ten: August 14 - 18
Wild, Wild West!
Howdy, cowboys, hold onto your hats because we’re planning a shindig! We’ll welcome our favorite ranch animals, ring some cow bells, gather by the watering hole and learn how to swing your partner!
Week Eleven: August 21 - 25
Creative Hands – A week full of arts and crafts.
Week Twelve: August 28 – September 1
Children Around the World: This week we celebrate children around the world - from costumes, to food, to dance and customs - and even learn a few foreign words. We'll spend our days travelling the globe, exploring how all children are the same - and different.
