Each program allows our youngest learners to explore, create, engage and experience the world around them as they are led by experienced educators within a small student/teacher ratio.

We are a “Reggio” inspired program! In our toddler classroom, children develop their independence through fun learning experiences that promote independence, self-confidence and self-control. Our beloved and caring teachers guide toddlers through playful exploration while helping to establish crucial social-emotional skills.

A special 2s Program for our youngest learners to develop a love of learning, develop a sense of independence and safety in separation. We’ll provide a safe, stimulating and loving classroom setting where we will work on independence – especially self-help and self-care. Each day we present a series of activities that will strengthen each child’s foundations skills including social, play and self- foundational skills include self-regulatory skills, Children are encouraged to explore their classroom environment with a variety of materials including clay, paint, play dough, sand and water.

Designed to address developing skills in Language Arts/Reading Readiness, Mathematics, Science, Creative Arts, Physical Activity, Construction, Music and Socialization. Each session is structured to include free play, circle time, snack time and play. Children are encouraged to actively construct their ideas. During circle time, teachers engage students in activities that further their speaking and listening skill incorporating singing, rhymes, stories, games and much more. Snack time encourages independence by engaging in everyday activities like hand washing, setting the table, pouring their own drink.

Rye Reads Learning Center offers a 4s PreK Program to compliment and extend any half-day PreK school day. Our unique program offers the smallest group size and teacher: student ratio to be found. We address developing skills in Language Arts/Reading Readiness, Mathematics, Science, Creative Arts, Physical Activity, Construction, Music and Socialization. Each session is structured to include free play, circle time, snack time and play.

EARLY DROP-OFF
Early drop-off is provided as a service to our parents needing to start their day early. Children are engaged in supervised play from 8:15 am to 9:00 am and then are escorted to their regular classrooms.

GRUB CLUB LUNCH
Extend your child’s day by joining us for a fun, social lunch program. Every day is a different experience! Parents provide lunch.

Solving math word problems adds a layer of complexity by requiring students to apply mathematical computational skills as well as reading comprehension. For many students the use of words increases the difficulty and contributes to math anxiety. This program will help students become confident word problem solvers by modelling seven strategies to approach math word problems in a step by step, organized way.

Social-emotional learning (SEL) focuses on the development of skills such as self-awareness, self-regulation, empathy, and social skills. At Social U! we teach children how to interact appropriately with others their age. Our therapeutic intervention will help students learn conversational, friendship and problem-solving skills. Through socialization, play, communication (verbal/non-verbal) student will learn how to develop friendships, control their emotions, and understand other people’s perspectives.

Designed by an occupational therapist, to promote handwriting success, this program will help students build essential skills for emergent writing and handwriting success. Utilizing a multisensory approach, the program incorporates a specific method of teaching children to write their letters using a developmental teaching order for both tracing and copying letters. This inter-active, hands-on approach engages the children and makes learning to write fun and successfully. Small group led by licensed Occupational Therapist.

As Artificial Intelligence (AI) takes on many of our routine and mundane technical responsibilities, soft skills are the human skills that are unlikely to be replicated by machines anytime soon. They include communication skills, teamworking, creative thinking, interpersonal problem-solving, relationship management, and conflict resolution. Through projects and games, this program will help even our youngest students develop these vital skills.

Each week, two teams will be presented with a resolution or topic, and each team has a set period of time to prepare an argument. Students will demonstrate initiative and leadership as they learn to synthesize information, practice in developing sound and logical arguments as they expand their minds and increases their understanding of multiple sides of important issues.

A vocational job can be a good fit if your child enjoys working with their hands and doing practical tasks. Learning about different vocational abilities will introduce your child to a relevant career path – one that. best suits his interests and talent. In this program, students will learn from actual vocational workers who will provide an opportunity to complete a work-related task and describe how to start your career. Some examples of vocational visitors are carpentry, electrician, plumbing, tailoring, culinary arts, hairdressing, veterinary and dental assistants.
