We're the teachers that founded Rye Reads and the Rye Book Club for Kids! We also developed the Learning League Homework Program for the Rye Library. We started with the belief that children’s learning should be affordable, age appropriate, structured and organized. If we could tap into a child’s natural curiosity and give them the opportunity to express themselves in a safe, structured and nurturing environment, they would develop the love of reading and an appreciation for all learning. We were right! To date, our programs have helped many children in Rye and beyond become better readers, better students and better community members.
We pride ourselves on offering a variety of academic programs for individuals and small groups. We offer the best of today’s teaching practices, combining academic vigor with social and emotional support.
"Shelby loves Rye Reads!! I like the attention to detail, small group instruction, targeted goals, and inviting space. We did some of the other tutoring centers- but they basically had kids working in workbooks the whole time. I like the structure and format at Rye Reads."
"Love the fun, no pressure learning. My son looks forward to every meeting and walks away with reals strategies he can use in class."
"The sense of community among all the students is refreshing. It creates a safe learning environment where kids celebrate their success."
"My daughter had another awesome time this afternoon. Thanks again for all that you do! She is really enjoying reading, something I thought would never happen."
"Where was this program when my kids were in school? This is exactly what our community needs to support our school's educators!"
